Stilton cheese

Britain’s esteemed blue cheese, Stilton, was first enjoyed nearly 300 years ago in the village of Stilton north of London by travelers along the Great North Road. This pasteurized cow’s milk blue cheese is produced using a time honored method and recipe in England’s counties of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire only. Stilton is creamy, ivory colored, richer and more intense than many other blues. Stilton is a wonderful table and dessert cheese; it also melts well and will add it’s unique flavor to salads, sauces, meat and vegetable dishes if used for cooking.
